This is the fourth edition of the WHU Founder Report 2025, which provides an overview of all WHU start-ups that completed a financing round in the fourth quarter of 2024. A particular highlight of this issue is two interviews with leading players in the start-up and venture capital world. In a detailed interview with Matthias Heinrich Morales, CPO & co-founder of Plato, he talks about his journey from studying at WHU to starting his professional career at Rocket Internet to founding his first startup. Alan Poensgen, Partner at Antler, also shares insights into founding his first company, his experience with Rocket Internet and the value Antler offers as an investor.

In addition, the report presents data on financing rounds collected by the WHU Entrepreneurship Center and provides insights into promising developments within the WHU start-up ecosystem.

A special highlight of this issue are two interviews with leading players in the start-up and venture capital world. Alexander Krauße, Investment Director at SevenVentures Berlin, talks about scaling start-ups through media-for-equity models and the success of companies like KoRo. In addition, Lukas Minnebeck, co-founder of Sonic, gives insights into the development of technical products and how to help start-ups avoid technical stumbling blocks.

Moreover, the report presents data on financing rounds collected by the WHU Entrepreneurship Center and offers insights into promising developments within the WHU start-up ecosystem.

The new semester has just started, hence, for the confluentes Board 2023/24, the time in charge ends.

The vision of confluentes is to be the leading student consultancy in Germany and to provide our consultants with the opportunity to engage in different and interesting projects with various customers from different industries, to broaden their horizons.
